Dear Parents, Guardians, Carers and Students
The weeks are flying by now that we are all back onsite. Today has been Book Week dress up day for the primary students and teachers and it has been fantastic. We have been so lucky with today’s weather that everyone could get out for recess and lunch in their costumes for a fun time.
Year 12 Last day of classes
Next week will be the last week of classes for our Year 12. Students will be in normal classes Monday to Thursday. These are important classes for our students and in particular this year as we have only just returned to onsite learning.
Year 12 Celebration Day Friday 30th October
We are planning a number of events for our year 12 students with as many inline with our usual Celebration Day traditions as we can, within the current operating guidelines. Fingers crossed for a lovely day like today in which to celebrate with our year 12 students and wish them all the very best for the months ahead.
As this will be one of the last chances I have before our Year 12s leave to study for their exams, if they have exams, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all good luck. I have heard you took the practice exams very seriously and worked right to the very end in each exam.
There have been some outstanding results achieved by our Year 12s on school assessed coursework and VCAL projects throughout the year and a focused effort in these final weeks will enable you to capitalise on this success.
You are encouraged to return to the College over the coming weeks during your external exams, to study and catch up with your teachers. It is not too late to put in the effort needed to improve your study scores and ATAR, whatever your performance to date has been. Take this opportunity to push yourself to achieve your personal best and take pride in the knowledge you will have done everything possible to meet your goals.
Year 12 Graduation Dinner
We have pushed back the Graduation Dinner to December 4th 2020, in the hope we will be able to hold an in person event.
Public holiday tomorrow and Melbourne Cup day
Just a reminder tomorrow is a public holiday and so is Tuesday 3rd November.
Assistant Principal Kelli Jacobsen away for 10 days
Congratulations, Kelli who has been successful in her application for the Unlocking Potential: Principal Preparation program with Bastow.
