Dear Parents, Guardians, Carers and Students,
With the opening of the boarders I will be heading to Sydney tomorrow to meet up with my son, who I haven’t seen for over a year now. I will be back at work next Wednesday 2nd December and Kelli Jacobsen and Scott Burton will be filling in for me while I am away.
Just a few things for this week:
PRIMARY CLASSES IN 2021
2020 has been an unprecedented year in which close to half of our teaching has taken place off-site. We understand that this has provided many challenges for our students and families. Moving forward into 2021 we have a strong commitment to the academic, social and emotional growth of all of our students in Prep to Year 6.
Due to enrolments and numbers within each Unit, the staff have explored the best option for learning across the Prep to in 2021.

When teachers formulate class lists’ they focus on many factors and the class development takes hours of work. Staff look for the best balance across all classes based on academics, social and emotional needs as well as peer connection for every student. We remain committed to this.

There will be a Statewide Transition Day on the 8th of December, where students will spend a full day of learning with their 2021 teacher.
YEAR 11 LAST DAY
Tomorrow is the last day for Year 11 this year. For the last two days we have been running the Year 11 Headstart program to allow the students to get some information around their year 11 classes for 2021 and start preparing for next year. We have organised a lunch for the Year 11s and their teachers to be held in the study center to celebrate the end of an extraordinary year. I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the resilience and flexibility of our year 11 students and wish them and their families a happy holiday.
