A number of opportunities are available to students each year, to challenge and extend themselves, including:
- Victorian High Ability Program, which is run annually by the Department of Education. The program is available for upper Primary and junior Secondary students and focuses on developing high level thinking skills and introducing students to rich problems in Maths and English. The program is facilitated by a College High Ability Practice Leader.
- Emerging Science Victoria virtual program, which offers enrichment opportunities for Secondary students keen on furthering their Science and mathematical interests. Examples include Astrophysics and Biotechnology.
A range of academic and subject specific competitions in areas such as computer skills, mathematics, science, spelling and writing. These opportunities are promoted to students throughout each year, who can register their interest for any or all of the competitions. Examples include the Australian Maths Competition, the Maths Challenge and Coding Challenge, run in the Upper Primary and Junior Secondary as part of nurturing STEM in schools.
